Jews at HBCUs? Yup.
More than a bridge — this is legacy in motion.
HBCJews celebrates the full identities and experiences of Jews at HBCUs as the one and only organization created by and for Black Jewish HBCU students, faculty and alum exploring Jewish identity within the HBCU experience.

Who we are
The world's first organization dedicated to the Jewish HBCU community. That exists? It does!
HBCJ is the answer to the question, "am I the only Jew on campus?" We are the growing community of Jewish HBCU students/graduates amplifying the lived experience and storied history of Jewish identity across each and every HBCU.
A vital community for Black Jews, Jews of Color and all Jewish students in the HBCU family.
Empowering Black Jews
We're centering the stories, voices, and experiences of Black Jews at HBCUs through research and community.
Network Building
We are partnering with students at HBCUs to provide support for campus orgs, events and initiatives. If you're interested in starting or growing your student org, please let us know. We are still accepting interest for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Research Initiatives
Current and former students make up the HBCJ community - our research comes straight from the source.
